An autistic woman has reportedly discovered that she is actually doing everything right in life, but that she’s somehow doing “doing things right” incorrectly.
Abeer Zaki, 21, is reportedly a well-rounded, responsible person, and no one at home, university or in her social circle seems to have a major issue with her. However, she is constantly burnt out, rarely achieves half as much as anyone who works less than her, and seems to put people off without really knowing why.
Zaki said: “I thought I was reasonably self-aware, but I always feel like I’m moving backwards no matter what I do. Like that music video where they’re all on treadmills.”
“Either there is a problem with me and no one’s telling me, or there’s some sort of conspiracy against me, which no one is telling me about either.”
Zaki’s autism said: “Oh, you sweet summer child.”
