What promised to be the world’s most complex scavenger hunt has failed to take into account autistic people’s propensity to actually read the fucking instructions, sources report.
Autistic scavenger hunt participant Horb told us that after the first burst of excitement he found the whole experience a bit of a letdown.
“Usually I love a scavenger hunt! They tax the mind and challenge the intellect,” he said. “But in this case it was just too easy – most of the clues had a winky face and then just straight-up gave you the answer. It wasn’t even in a smaller font: it was literally right there! I was vexed. Frustrated. Peeved!”
The scavenger hunt, set by the most neurotypical person alive, was presumed to be absolutely foolproof. “I don’t understand,” claimed the mystery woman. “How did anyone finish it so quickly? I tested it on my ‘Pilates and Prosecco’ class and they’re still out there! Last I heard they were going in circles round a multi-storey car park.”
“I should have bloody known that so-called people with autism would ruin this,” she added. “Wait a minute: what paper did you say you were from?”
The woman then absolutely refused to give her name to The Daily Tism and, when we asked for her age, muttered something extremely unprintable.
