An autistic person about to risk running into somebody they knew in public described themselves as “grateful” to be dragged away by a scary clown, say sources.

Kit McGodden, 26, was walking through the ASDA car park when they spotted former schoolteacher Sarah Harrow, 56, approaching the entrance with a trolley.

McGodden said: “I immediately felt a rush of panic. Not at the clown that had appeared in the drain on the pavement, but at the seemingly inevitable interaction about to take place.”

“She taught me at school. And I’ve done nothing with my life since, aside from raising several generations of Sims families,” McGodden continued. “Naturally, I was stressing out. Then I noticed the gleaming eyes of Pennywise through the bars of the grate, and whispered, ‘help me.'”

McGodden added: “Frankly, having my soul eaten by that clown was a mercy.”
