An autistic woman would be far better at foiling James Bond than working at a call centre, she claims.

Miya Wilkes, 27, is adept at using technology and looking unnerving, neither of which she has really been able to leverage while selling wine subscriptions over the phone. She is sure, however, that if she went into the villainy business, she’d be the one to stop 007 once and for all.

Wilkes said: “I’m pretty good at maths, I’ve been told I have an icy stare, and I just made two quid off a scratchcard. I could be Le Chiffre in about 5 years if the working world wasn’t so determined to clip my wings.”

“Get me a thick rope, a chair with a great big hole in the seat, and a man who is prodigiously good at everything except reading context clues when a hot woman obviously wants to kill him.”

Wilkes’s manager Deborah Whitehead, 40, said: “At her last progress review, I had to explain to Miya that I wanted to know about her work-based goals and not her aim of ‘Learning how to weep blood’.”
