An AuDHD woman is actually genuinely so good at handling rejection that it doesn’t even make her feel like her spine is being torn from her body, not even a little bit, it has been reported.
Siobhan Moorton, 30, has reportedly completed therapy and therefore knows how to regulate her emotions. This, she says, is why receiving gentle constructive criticism only feels a little bit like she’s tonguing a sea urchin.
Graphic designer Moorton said: “One of my clients sent me feedback on a flyer I designed for them. They said, and I quote, that the text was ‘one size too small’. That’s… that’s fine. I did say ‘all feedback welcome’, so it’s… it’s fine. Ahem – sorry, I’m just choking on how fine and okay that is.”
“‘Too small’, they said. That’s just groovy. Tubular. Rad,” Moorton continued. “It just reminds me of how everyone has always tried to diminish me, to make me smaller. But it’s alright, because it’s a really easy fix! I just need to Wim Hof myself in a cold shower until the feelings go away, and then I’ll do it no problem.”
“I mean, they could have tried zooming in on the text, or moving their heads closer to the screen, or going to hell.”
