An AuDHD man has apologised profusely for arriving at an event a mere three-quarters of an hour early, it has been revealed.

Naveed Azkhat, 28, was invited to the informal gathering at the home of friend, Talia Cohen, 27, with a scheduled start time of 7pm, but reportedly knocked on the door at 6.13pm, while the childminder was still collecting Cohen’s two nursery-age children.

“I’m sorry I’m so late,” eyewitnesses recalled Azkhat saying between deep breaths while resting one hand against the doorframe. “The train was running behind; the app said it was supposed to get in an hour ago.”

Azkhat revealed he had taken three separate trains to Cohen’s home, with a total journey time of approximately five hours. “It should have been four,” Azkhat emphasised, “but the last train was delayed. That’s why I’m so late.” Sources report that Azkhat’s home is located in a nearby town, around 25 miles from Cohen’s.

Other attendees to the event arrived between the times of 6.54pm and 7.38pm and, sources claim, none apologised for the particular time of their appearance. Siobhan Moorton, 31, who knocked on Cohen’s door at 7.18pm and was admitted to the residence 46 seconds later, was reportedly unaware she was technically late: “Was it seven you said, or seven thirty? Anyway -where’s your fridge, babe?”

Azkhat, who was later confirmed to have departed Cohen’s residence at 8.21pm, explained that he had to return home to get an early night as he had a dentist appointment the following Tuesday that he didn’t want to risk missing.
