An autistic woman whose greatest fear is someone being cross with her has reportedly baked enough cakes, pastries and biscuits for the entire world’s population as a preventative measure. 

Sophie Blake, 25, was reportedly delighted to have discovered baking in her younger years. She said: “I quickly realised that a substantial sacrifice of my own time, effort, skill and money seemed to result in people liking me a little bit? I always wondered what friendship was about, and apparently it’s mainly flour and sugar.” 

She explained: “I’ve started with all my favourites: chocolate chip cookies, shortbread, gingerbread, a variety of sponges in different flavours, little fairy cakes with sprinkles, and obviously fondant fancies. Oh, wait – how long is your article? There’s dozens more cakes but I don’t want to go over the word count. Sorry! Here, have some Battenberg.”

Blake revealed more details on her plans to feed the world: “There’s a global population of about eight billion, but then there’s lots of babies who I don’t think can eat cake, so that takes loads away. Unless I make one that’s chock-full of Calpol?”

“Aside from babies, my main concern is people who live on islands far away from here. Oh, gosh – no, sorry! I just mean because they’re far away – not that they don’t deserve cake too!” 

Blake was last seen boarding a plane to Vanuatu in a panic with a series of tray bakes.
