An autistic man who recently received his diagnosis has reportedly been trying to make the term “Friends of Thomas” catch on, despite nobody joining in.

According to loved ones, Dexter Livingstone, 40, has spent his entire life trying to make all sorts of things into A Thing, including various embarrassing nicknames, a craze he called Monocle Mania, and Brick Bothering, which Livingstone insists is about Lego

Livingstone explained: “You’re just not understanding why it’s funny. You see, Friend of Dorothy is an old-fashioned euphemism for being gay. Thomas is famously a tank engine, which is a type of train. Autistic people like trains!”

“Now while I do accept there are other notable Thomases, the first one your mind goes to is The Tank Engine. Admit it. Oh what? You were thinking of Thomas Hardy? Thomas CRUISE?? Fuck off.”

“I don’t have to justify myself to you people,” Livingstone added, before justifying himself for approximately 17 further hours.

Livingstone was last seen muttering angrily to himself while selecting pictures of Thomas to put into what he sulkily called “The Tank Bank”.
