An AuDHD friend who has vowed to get better at staying in touch will see you whenever the next parent dies, sources have confirmed.

Jay Chester, 40, can’t believe it’s been so long since you last met up and genuinely intends to remedy the issue – and will spend the next decade genuinely intending to remedy the issue.

Chester explained via text: “I will spend the next era of my life periodically thinking of you and how I really must message you. If only you had a message for every time I thought about messaging you.”

“I might even drop you an opening ‘how are you?’ or a ‘fancy meeting up soon?’, before becoming too overwhelmed to reply to YOUR reply, then swearing I’ll do it later, before it inevitably becomes TOO late and I can’t bring myself to reply, ever.”

“I want you to know how much you mean to me,” Chester continued. “And I’ll 100% be there at your wedding / kid’s christening / when the parents start dropping. Maybe it won’t be that long! To be honest, your dad’s been looking a little peaky.”

Chester then forgot to press ‘send’, only to remember eight months later.
