Children are catching autism from other kids, according to a mother who took her own offspring to a measles party.

Karen Hoyland, 35, who believes both vaccines and having friends cause autism, actively encourages her six-year-old son Finley to get potentially deadly measles for reasons too stupid to print.

Hoyland commented: “It’s a difficult balance. On the one hand, I want Finley to catch measles. On the other, I don’t want him getting peer pressured into a life of correcting my grammar.”

“On the third hand, I’m his mother and that makes me an expert in human biology.”

“I just can’t risk him making friends and therefore being doomed to a life of having no friends,” Hoyland added. “He can catch measles at home, where there are less risks of him also getting autism.”

Finley Rice commented: “Fewer risks,” before being yanked away from the play date he’d been on.
