A group of autistic people rushing to ensure the feta – fate – of the world were reportedly distracted by the miraculous appearance of Jesus – sorry, a man selling cheeses.

The intrepid heroes could have sworn they were meant to be saving the world, but the sight and smell of an approaching cheese cart moved “prevent the end of days” to a firm second on their joint list of priorities.

Norah, 35, said between sips of a perfectly paired Pinot Noir: “Yes, we have magic powers, and yes we’re supposed to be using them to stop the world being taken over by a neurotypical supervillain, but you have to carpe Edam or however the saying goes.”

“Damn right,” agreed Pix, 39. “We’ve got to fuel up if we’re going to save man… man… Manchego? No, wait, mankind.”

Bums, of indeterminate age, remarked: “I’m so glad we all left the house just to eat cheese together. Hey, why are those police officers not wearing any trousers and covered in oil?”
