An autistic person is reportedly “going to be okay forever” after someone recognised the graphic on their T-shirt.

Des Ackerman, 23, wore a T-shirt printed with the poster for Labyrinth, a film that millions of people in the world have definitely seen, and was delighted when a shop assistant complimented them on it, causing them to spend another £30 out of pure excitement and skip out of the building.

Ackerman said: “They saw a glimmer of my true self and they approved of it. I make sense now.”

“With one nostalgic ‘Aw, Jareth the Goblin King!’, I have been accepted into the fold. I am One of Them. This is what I’ve been missing all this time: the serenity of group membership.”

Ackerman then wore the shirt for as long as they could until they had to put it in the wash, which reportedly made them feel like they’d “entered the Bog of Eternal Stench”.
