An autistic woman who loves her bed with the ardour usually reserved for a new romantic partner has accidentally broken the concept of time, scientists have revealed.
Siobhan Moorton, 35, has always been tucked up in her jammies with a mug of cocoa by 9pm, but friends have expressed concern that her bedtime was getting earlier and earlier as the winter progressed.
Friend Chi-Young Lee, 34, explained: “It got to the point where she’d put one foot on the carpet, say ‘nope’, and immediately draw it back under the covers,”
“We were afraid that she was severely depressed, but she assures us she’s never been happier.”
Professor Robert Noot, a leading expert in theoretical physics, added: “The problem is that when you go to bed before you’ve got up for the day, effectively time starts moving backwards. Siobhan’s childlike happiness at being in bed with 12 of her favourite soft toys and a big tub of sweeties suggests that she may actually be aging in reverse.”
When approached for comment, Moorton simply said: “Night night.”
