An autistic woman’s bisexuality has made her even more invisible than if she were just a regular autistic woman, sources have claimed.

Tricia Squire, 34, has been gradually fading out of existence since her teen years, when her autism and bisexuality began a race to see what would erase her from the public consciousness first.

Squire said: “People think I’m straight and neurotypical, and there’s nothing I can do to convince them otherwise. Whenever I’ve had a meltdown at a Pride parade, they think I’m covering my eyes and ears because I can’t stand the sound of liberation. I just want to show them my checked shirt and cuffed jeans, my Doc Martens and my gamer boyfriend, and say ‘I’m one of you!’”

“Being bisexual means even more unspoken social rules to contend with,” Squire continued. “You’re supposed to have had an equal number of partners of every gender, otherwise Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas shows up and cuts your Bi Card in half.”

“People keep telling me I ‘play for both teams’, which is ridiculous. I’m autistic – I’ve never been picked for a team in my life, and even if I had, I’d be permanently left on the bench.”

“I’m only fully visible between the hours of 3:00 and 4:00am on Bi Visibility Day,” Squire added. “Sort of like a rare cosmic event. Legend has it that if you say ‘Vanessa Carlton’ three times in the mirror, you’ll break my curse, and I’ll finally gain a corporeal form.”
