A 39-year-old woman has finally received an autism diagnosis after years of being misdiagnosed as a bloodsucking creature of the night, it has been announced.
Siobhan Moorton’s autistic traits were reportedly missed due to the sheer volume that overlapped with vampirism.
Moorton explained: “My light sensitivity is more extreme than most autistic people in that if I’m exposed to daylight, I straight up die.”
“My food aversions are also pretty severe,” she continued. “But I’m unusual in that I exclusively drink blood.”
“Also, the smell of garlic makes me gag,” she added. “I’m nocturnal. Oh, and I’ve been known to bite and not let go until the whole body is drained. All very normal autistic traits that would have been spotted, had I not been assumed to be a vampire.”
Clinical psychologist Karen Hoyland said: “Yeah, I’m pretty sure in this case, she’s Nosferatu.”
