An autistic woman has discovered a harmless new talent for repeatedly washing her hands, according to reports.
Sarah Harrow, 24, from Runcorn, scrubs her hands with carbolic soap multiple times an hour – which her family says simply shows a commendable dedication to her craft.
“She won’t brag about it, but it’s so much more than just hand washing,” Her mother Liz Harrow, 60, said. “She cleans plates after they come out the dishwasher, bleaches the bath before using it and won’t even go near the toilet seat.”
“It’s really lovely to see her so passionate about something,” she continued. “We’ve all got something, you know? Like I’m really into salsa dancing and making string necklaces.”
“I’ve said to her, ‘you could have a career in this,'” dad Graeme Harrow, 64, told us.
“We were worried about her for such a long time. But we’re just grateful she’s finally found something she’s really interested in,” Liz Harrow told us. “And we’ll support her all the way.”
Sarah Harrow commented: “All the way to where? Hospital, probably.”
