An autistic stand-up comedian has had his rejection-sensitive dysphoria triggered after a ghost booed him, it has been reported.

Performer Lucas Fletcher, 32, was initially excited when he heard the pub he was performing in was haunted, but was left “devastated” when an apparition of a beheaded monk in the audience of his show instantly disapproved of him.

“He didn’t even have the imagination to come up with a clever heckle,” Fletcher said. “Boooooo. Booooooo. Headless monk? More like gutless cunt.”

“That’s what I would have said if I’d thought of it in the moment,” Fletcher explained. “Instead of just standing there on the verge of tears, before muttering, ‘oh boo yourself’.”

Fletcher was last seen attempting to block the headless monk, who has been dead for several centuries, on social media.
