An autistic woman is reportedly delighted to help her family with their tech issues as long as they continue to label her a “wizard” for doing so.
Freya Emerson, 25, says she would have minded acting as unpaid tech support for her relatives, but their habit of comparing her to a scholar of the arcane whenever she does so means she is too flattered to care.
Emerson said: “It’s a pretty good deal. Everything I ever wanted, just for switching the input on my nan’s TV.”
“I’m off to my Uncle Ethan’s house to install some antivirus and probably be celebrated as a master of magic. Maybe it’ll catch on and the locals will start hailing me as The Sage of Sunderland.”
Emerson could not be reached for further comment as she had “Entered a duel with an installation wizard”.
