An autistic woman wearing her usual everyday clothes cannot understand why everyone thinks she’s wearing a Halloween costume, according to sources.
Emma Bernard, 35, left the house in what she thought was normal seasonal attire, but everyone she has encountered so far has praised her on the accuracy of her costume – which is believed to be an homage to either Jay or Silent Bob.
Bernard said: “It doesn’t seem to matter what I’m wearing. People always assume I’ve come dressed as someone. I wrapped up warm on a particularly cold day last week and people kept asking me where the other Wet Bandit was.”
“These are just my normal clothes! Don’t other people dress like this outside of 90s movies?”
Bernard’s friend Anand Trivedi, 40, said: “I offered to be the Bill to her Ted and she just looked daggers at me.”
