A woman who thinks “everyone’s a little bit autistic” has no idea she’s the most autistic woman to ever autism, it has been rumoured.
Beth Hapworth, 58, made the claim after suggesting her autistic friend’s struggles to be “just what everyone goes through, right?”
She said: “I don’t like crowds, I’m often called a picky eater and I have to fight the urge to push the guy who eats crisps on my commute every morning onto the train tracks. Does that make ME autistic?”
“I also get overwhelmed by bright lights, have chronic pain issues and it physically hurts me when someone says ‘myself’ instead of ‘me’. Does THAT make ME autistic?”
Hapworth’s autistic friend, Paige Thomas, 47, said: “I mean…”
