An autistic woman has announced plans to dress up as a neurotypical woman for the 11,162th time in their lifetime this Halloween, it has been reported.
Natasha Weaving, 30, from Elton, spends the whole year dressing “somebody much less weird” than she actually is – wearing outfits she’s copied from Instagram and a makeup look meticulously studied from TikTok.
“Yes, it’s uncomfortable suppressing your inner self – but totally worth it,” said Weaving. “Look at all the jobs I’m getting! So what if I’m having to quit six months later due to burnout?”
She continued: “I’m calling it my Day of the Dead costume. In that I feel dead pretending to be somebody else all of the time.”
Friend Megan Aldritch, 31, commented: “Wait until she shows you what’s underneath. That’s really scary.”
