An autistic woman is living her best life by filling her home with items that other people have thrown away, sources have claimed.

Charity shop menace Beth Hapworth, 35, appears to be enjoying an inexhaustible supply of dopamine, having turned her kitchen into an homage to that moment in 1991 when geese wearing bonnets were a thing.

“I pretend that buying everything secondhand is an environmentally conscious choice,” she explained, “but actually it’s just because Ikea and Habitat can never satisfy my penchant for decorative thimbles.”

Hapworth’s sister, Becky Armitage, 32, added: “Beth keeps telling everyone that her curtains cost £2.99, and frankly I can see why.”

Hapworth interjected: “Would you like to see my collection of musical mouse ornaments? Look, these mice are gambling in a casino! You won’t find that in Marks and Spencer.
