An autistic woman has scared everybody shitless by unmasking her autism for Halloween, according to reports.
Emma Bernard, 30, from Leicester, has spent the day terrifying colleagues at the office by commiting to the horrifying act of being herself.
Despite one overzealous coworker turning up in a Pennywise costume, it was Bernard’s presence that was causing unparalleled terror.
“God, Emma gave us a real scare,” senior colleague Liz McHodge, 41, told us. “She refused to make eye contact with anybody. Instead of smiling when she saw somebody in the corridor, she just stared. As if about to walk right through them.”
“When I made that shit joke in the team meeting, she didn’t even laugh,” colleague Lucas Fletcher, 34, commented.
“I asked if she’d like to hold my baby, who I’d brought in for a visit,” another colleague Sarah Harrow, 32, said. “She stared at him too. Completely disinterested. In the end, he was screaming to be passed back to the scary clown.”
“Yeah, I was a bit tired today,” Bernard said. “Wait. It’s Halloween?”
