An autistic woman recently inspired by The Exorcist (1973) is refusing to leave her bed this Halloween, according to reports.
Siobhan Moorton, 34, from Newton-le-Willows, issued the statement: “I’m not depressed, I’m possessed.”
“Honestly, I’ve been having such a rough mental health time recently,” Moorton’s statement continued. “Phoning in to tell work I’d taken over by a demon was a great idea to get out of my shift without damage to my reputation. I can’t have them think I’m mental.”
“What I’ve learned is that it’s always okay to ask for help,” Moorton went on. “Especially when you start levitating in the air and can’t get down.”
Manager Tricia Whitehead, 46, said: “When Siobhan looked sad, I told her to keep her spirits up. I fear that might have been a mistake.”
