An autistic woman has made the bold decision to keep dating the impressive man she wishes he was, instead of the horrid little worm boy he actually is, it has been announced.
Sarah Harrow, 27, first fell for Dexter Livingstone, 31, after he initially presented as a kind, sensitive man who adored her. But despite him having dropped this veneer approximately six weeks into the relationship, Harrow reportedly persists in hoping his initial mask is “the real him”.
“He’ll be back to his normal self any day now,” Harrow explained. “He’s just been having a really tough eight months.”
“Sometimes I see glimpses of his true self,” Harrow continued. “Like when he forgot my birthday and spent the morning WhatsApping me pictures of his haemorrhoid – as soon as he realised three days later, he spent five minutes being so sweet and apologetic.”
“I’m not trying to change him,” Harrow insisted. “I’m just trying to bring out the person I know is in there – which I assume is who he really is, even if it’s hidden 98% of the time.”
Livingstone commented: “Winning Sarah over was hard work. Thank God that now I’ve got her, I don’t have to do that anymore.”
