An autistic woman has reportedly wowed experts with her extensive collection of rare comorbid health conditions.
Paige Thomas, 37, began collecting co-morbidities in her early twenties and has since curated an incredible list of ailments, injuries and illnesses.
Thomas explained: “Like any connoisseur, I started with the easily obtainable ones – a few mental health conditions, a little OCD, GAD and an entire catalogue of CPTSD.”
“As I got older and refined my tastes, I started to pick up some rarer pieces,” Thomas continued. “Like one side of my body being hypermobile but not the other, chronic migraines with no cure and still having baby teeth, for some reason.”
“Some of my favourites date back to early childhood,” Thomas added. “Like my dyspraxia – I didn’t even know what I had until I saw a specialist who told me. It was like Antiques Roadshow – if what I got instead of cash was the inability to tie my shoelaces.”
Thomas has since invited the public to come and view her collection – but turnout was low, due to the whole thing being “a bit of a bummer.”
