An autistic woman has discovered a surprising new use for her sunflower lanyard.

“It’s meant to tell others I’ve got a hidden disability,” Sarah Harrow, 31, from Manchester, explained. “But it’s also telling the right people that I’m an absolute animal.”

“It really comes in handy. And it’’s surprisingly secure,” Harrow continued, demonstrating for us. “As far as BDSM rope goes, it’s been a useful spare. Though it did backfire that time I wore my leather one on the bus by accident.”

Sources on Harrow’s bus route were overheard saying: “What a sweet little person with autism!”
