An autistic woman who is neither conventionally hot nor fashionable has been deemed worthless by social media, sources have said.
Ffiona Maw, 25, enjoys posting unedited photos of her day-to-day life online, but has recently been informed by her followers that autistic women are not allowed to exist on the Internet without appealing to every stranger on Earth.
Maw said: “I posted a picture of myself outside the cinema wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and some guy with a low-angle profile picture suggested I be taken out and shot. I’ve also been told that I’m not ‘dressing for my skull shape’, whatever that means?”
“My friends told me I need to choose what ‘type’ of autistic I am and present myself accordingly. Apparently, ‘blob’ isn’t a type of autistic? I did check.”
