An autistic woman would love to be godmother to your child as long as she doesn’t have to actually do anything for her, sources have said.

Miya Wilkes, 35, makes sure to politely enquire after your daughter whenever the two of you catch up, but doesn’t want you to think that means she gives a shit about children in general. Unsure of what a godparent actually is, Wilkes has been attempting to gauge how seriously you’re taking this without looking like a heartless witch.

Wilkes said: “Can I just clarify that it’s purely a ceremonial thing? Like, I don’t have to adopt her if you die or anything like that? Because I don’t really fancy it. But I’m also not naïve enough to break a covenant with God.”

“I was just thinking I’d peace out for the first sixteen years and reappear when the kid needs someone to bitch about her parents to. Or just call me when she starts being funny.”

Wilkes was reportedly unsure whether to be relieved or offended when you reassured her that she was the last person you’d have asked anyway.
