An autistic man has begun the annual process of burying his Lego to protect it during the winter months when Lego sources are scarce, it has been reported.

Dexter Livingstone, 31, also has ADHD, but uses spatial memory and landmarks such as trees to remember where he’s hidden his bricks.

Autism researcher Dr. Graeme Hart explained: “Autistic men can bury up to 3000 bricks in a season. They do this in the colder months when Lego is harder to find – but also to protect their Lego from other autistic men.”

“Often they will create false caches to trick thieves,” Dr. Hart continued. “These are typically filled with Duplo.”

“Fascinatingly, they will organise the Lego bricks by type,” Dr. Hart added. “Which I understand is half the fun.”

Livingstone’s wife, Paige Livingstone, 34, commented: “For God’s sake, Dexter, stop digging up the bloody garden.”
