Society has promised to have a “proper think” about taking an autistic woman with a ludicrous number of achievements seriously, it has been rumoured.
Paige Thomas, 34, who is a bestselling author, BAFTA-winning screenwriter and Nobel Prize winner, was reportedly delighted to discover that her industry peers are contemplating conceding that she’s sort of okay at what she does.
Fellow screenwriter Becky Armitage, 40, said: “I think it’s great what Paige has managed to do, given… you know. I assume she had a lot of help – but still. Great job, little buddy.”
Producer Graeme Hart, 55, said: “I bought a script from Paige and generously paired her with a non-autistic writer as a safe pair of hands, which she clearly needs, given… you know.”
Thomas said: “It’s just an honour to be thought of as semi-competent, given how little I’ve done to earn it.”
