An autistic woman whose therapist called “a tough cookie” jumps when the toaster pops up, like she’s a piece of bread, according to reports.
Krista Shure, 25, from Cheadle, has been officially labelled as “brave” – despite going into a trauma response when the post slides through the letterbox.
“When a spoon falls off the drying rack and clanks onto the kitchen floor, I just assume somebody’s about to attack me,” Shure explained. “Which is a perfectly valid response.”
“Despite being scared of pretty much everything, my therapist says I’m really courageous,” Shure, 29, insisted.
“Jesus, what the fuck was that?” Shure exclaimed, as the microwave pinged.
