An autistic woman who was described as “complex” by her team of mental health professionals has been revealed to be actually pretty basic, reports can confirm.
Paige Emerson, 26, from Castlefield, might have “a lot going on psychologically” according to a room of therapists – yet her tastes remain surprisingly bland.
“We initially thought she’d be an enigma,” admitted clinical psychologist Liz McHodge, 49. “Indie movies and niche artists. But surprisingly, she’s really into Taylor Swift and The Princess Diaries.”
“Sure, I might have a whole list of co-occurring disorders — but really, I’m just like any other girl,” Emerson admitted. “Only madder.”
Emerson was last seen preparing herself a little plate of snacky bits to take upstairs before descending into her nightly episode of misery.
