An autism charity has come under fire today after accidentally helping an actual autistic person, reports have indicated.

Directors at Autism Shrieks have reportedly spent an emergency meeting trying to placate their board after assistance was erroneously provided to autistic adult, Miya Wilkes, 30.

In a statement released on behalf of Autism Shrieks, the organisation explained: “We’d like to address today’s incident in which Ms. Wilkes, who claims to have autism despite demonstrably being an adult woman, arrived at our HQ and asked to use the bathroom.”

“Due to staffing shortages, a receptionist new to our family here at Autism Shrieks allowed her access to our facilities,” the statement continued. “Where unfortunately she was able to urinate, flush and leave before anyone could stop her.”

“Tragically, due to her having flushed the lavatory, we were unable to even salvage a sample to study,” the statement added. “The member of staff responsible has been dismissed and we are implementing new training procedures to ensure no future adults with autism are in any way assisted by anyone on our staff.”

Miya Wilkes commented: “I was desperate so I just ducked into the first building I saw and asked to use the loo. Wait, that was THOSE guys?”
