An autistic woman with rejection sensitivity dysphoria has inexplicably decided to pursue a career that has an entire academic discipline dedicated to criticising it, sources have confirmed.

Freya Emerson, 24, reportedly thinks being a writer-performer will bring her joy and fulfilment, despite every single thing about it being massively triggering.

Emerson commented: “I have placed my entire self-worth into these words on a page, and if nobody wants them, that means nobody wants me – just like my parents, my ex and my childhood hamster.”

“If I’m asked to rearrange these words in any way, I will interpret that as a sign that everything that comes out of me is garbage and I’m a worthless piece of trash,” Emerson continued. “Anyway, I eagerly await the next bit of editorial feedback.”

“I’m sure once I get past all the daily rejections and finally ‘make it’, it will fix whatever deep wound inside me made me want to do this in the first place,” Emerson added. “Just as long as the general public never says anything negative about me, ever. Still, it’s better than an office job, right? Right???”

Emerson was last seen applying to retrain as a bricklayer.
