An autistic woman who was regularly targeted by her entire class remains certain she wasn’t bullied in primary school, it has been confirmed.

Paige Thomas, 29, from Preston, said: “Those years evoke such precious memories! Girls confronting me in the toilets, chasing me down corridors and nicking the Penguin bar out my lunchbox….I get misty eyed just thinking about it.”

“Their pet name for me was ‘Paige Germs’. They’d wipe their hands on each other in disgust every time they accidentally touched me,” Thomas reminisced.

“Every time there was a birthday party in our class, they could only invite 29 people. Totally understandable!” Thomas explained. “I did get invited to Sarah’s at Tenpin one year – but then I got used as the bowling ball.”

“Paige, you were bullied. For fuck’s sake,” Sarah Harrow, 30, told her. “Stop requesting to friend me on Instagram.”

Thomas responded: “Thanks for being so sweet to me back then!”
