An autistic woman attempting to appear cool and unattainable has reportedly restrained herself from texting her crush for an agonising four minutes (if you round up from three minutes 51 seconds).
Miya Wilkes, 26, put a number of measures in place to ensure she didn’t send a dreaded double text to Aidan Michaels, 29 – all of which she promptly ignored.
Wilkes explained: “I muted Aidan, archived his messages on WhatsApp then put my phone in a drawer. Then I immediately turned on my laptop and stared at my WhatsApp archive folder there, waiting for him to start typing.”
“After that I spent a good three minutes panicking that my joke about radioactive fish was too flirty,” Wilkes continued. “So obviously I had to apologise.”
“He didn’t reply to my apology,” Wilkes continued. “So I left it another few hours and asked him if he was mad at me. A few hours after that, I sent him a long missive about giving me the silent treatment.”
“What do you mean that all happened in the space of 37 seconds??”
Michaels commented: “Huh???”
