An autistic woman has revealed the key to building social relationships is pretending she doesn’t know stuff, according to reports.

Siobhan Moorton, 37, from Gawsworth, has honed the art of feigning total ignorance about specialist subjects she’s spent years learning about – in an attempt to come off as “normal” to her colleagues.

“I try to pretend I know an average amount about regular things, like the home and garden section in John Lewis,” Moorton told us. “But I still can’t stop the odd fact about hermit crabs slipping out every now and again.”

“I feel like Eddie Redmayne pretending to be Steven Hawking in The Theory of Everything,” continued Moorton. “Except it’s more like Stephen Hawking pretending to be Eddie Redmayne.”

Moorton was last seen informing Sue from admin that hermit crabs are, in fact, closely related to certain kinds of lobsters.
