A woman who has previously struggled to make eye contact compensates by sporadically staring past people’s eyes into the very essence of their deepest desires, fears and shame, it has been reported.

Paige Thomas, 25, from Penkridge, always found it difficult to meet people’s gaze – until she trained herself to stare them down like a bald eagle.

Despite this new resolve, acquaintances of Thomas state she may have taken this too far, fearing they’re “being hunted”.

“Yeah, it was uncomfortable when her eyes kept darting to the ground,” friend Ellie Mulligan, 31, told us. “Now every interaction feels needlessly intense, like a scene from Pride and Prejudice.”

“I’m doing it right now, aren’t I?” Thomas asked us, unblinking.
