An AuDHD man is reportedly “chewing the ear off” a new acquaintance who’s too nice to simply wander off like everybody else does.
Mac Wheatley, 38, was delighted to find himself seated next to Anand Trivedi, 46, at a mutual friend’s wedding, after Trivedi proved to be a captive audience for a long infodump about the specifics of developing node.js applications.
Wheatley said: “Basically it’s a framework for running JavaScript, but outside of a web browser. It will run on absolutely everything from top-of-the-range MacBook Pro right down to a small microcontroller, like an ESP32.”
“It’s module-based, so chances are if you’re trying to do something, there’ll be a module out there to let you do whatever it is with minimal lines of code. Now, once you understand how the ecosystem of that fits together…”
Trivedi commented: “I initially expressed interest because I misheard and thought he was talking about JLS. Not that I’m a fan of JLS, but I’d at least heard of their songs.”
“I did try to conspicuously yawn – but he somehow took that to be a yawn of encouragement.”
At the time of publication, Trivedi was still stuck listening to Wheatley, despite the wedding having ended six months ago.
