A woman doesn’t know if she’s autistic despite being completely hyperfixated on autism, it has been reported.

Paige Thomas, 29, is unsure of whether or not she would meet the criteria for an autism diagnosis, yet simply relates to a bunch of stuff autistic woman say, do, wear and refuse to eat.

Thomas commented: “I’m not autistic, yet as almost all my friends are, I have immersed myself in the topic. I relate to so many things autistic women tell me – and can recall them all in highly specific detail, including dates and times of when the conversations took place.”

“It’s not weird, right?” Thomas continued. “Like, not ALL my friends are autistic. Some of them have ADHD.”

“I guess I just really like autistic culture,” Thomas continued. “I’m weirdly drawn to it. Like a moth to a… well, not a flame – they’re too bright and hot. Like a moth to a dark, cosy wardrobe.”

Autistic friend Mary Walker, 33, said: “Ah, Paige. She’s so close.”
