A woman without a formal autism diagnosis is expected to have a long and fulfilling career as a patient in a psychiatric hospital, sources have said.
Beth Hapworth, 24, from Wigan, is reportedly “thrilled” to have her personality traits and interests described as “obsessive” and “repetitive”, while all the nurses on the ward compulsively chatter about getting their nails done.
Psychiatrist Dr. Robert Noot said: “Beth clearly has a lot of sensory difficulties. So we decided locking her in a noisy, chaotic environment with total strangers – including a man who thinks he’s Moses reincarnated – would be a really good idea.”
Dr. Noot continued: “We’ve given her a diagnosis of BPD, which is what we like to give out when we can’t be bothered to try and understand a woman – because that’s quite a lot of effort.”
“So far I’ve developed an eating disorder, PTSD, OCD and severe suicidal tendencies,” Hapworth commented. “So you could really say I’m really going above and beyond.”
